Professor Sara Brown awarded the Ballantyne Prize
March 2025
The Brown lab was delighted to find out that Prof. Sara Brown was elected as one of the Royal Society of Edinburgh’s (RSE) newest fellows. The RSE Fellowship ‘comprises around 1,800 leading experts in the sciences, arts, business, professions and the third and public sectors, with links to Scotland' (RSE website, 2025). Elected fellows have to meet a range of criteria, including evidence of outstanding achievement in their field and a high level of professional recognition.
“It is a great honour, and I feel very privileged to have been elected to Fellowship of the Royal Society of Edinburgh. The diverse range of expertise and experience in the Society gives a real opportunity to progress with the aim of ‘knowledge made useful’ for Scotland and beyond. My own work brings together caring for people with skin diseases, molecular genetic research, and patient/public involvement, so I look forward to contributing to these and all aspects of the RSE’s work.” (Prof. Sara Brown)
