Welcome back to Emily, MRS & Unilever PhD student

We are pleased to welcome Emily back to the Brown lab as a PhD student. Emily joined our lab as a paid intern, to gain new skills researching gene-environment interactions in skin. Her PhD aims to characterise the skin's physical and molecular response to cleansing with soap and alcohol using an organoid model. She will answer why some people are more susceptible to such damage than others, which may contribute to future mild formulation design for prevention and treatment of dermatitis.
